 Active recruiting/hiring of 200 teachers of color. Stipends for teachers choosing the Denver Public Schools. $1000.00 for the first year, progressing during second and possibly the third year. After 200 teachers are hired, each new teacher will receive the same incentives.

     Mental Health Professionals will be recruited to help Denver youth with ongoing therapy, and family therapy as well, will be available in each neighborhood. These professionals will be accessible and available during times of crisis.

Feeding Denver Families

     During a two-year period, we will create and support 50 sustainable learning centers at schools throughout the Denver community. The learning center will be selected based on community needs, and approved by the Denver Public Schools Board of Education. A $10,000 grant will be available to implement the innovative learning spaces.

     We will feed hungry children and families. There will be minimal paperwork and easy access for 500 meals a week at each of 10 Food Support locations. Food items will be non-perishable to start, requiring no refrigeration.

  Our 3 year plan is to employ 1000 students during the summers, using Jobs by George as a framework.

     In a 2-year time period, training and approval of 1,000 tutors to work in homes, schools, and remote locations to assist students who have fallen behind in Reading and Math. Mini-grants
